My way of preserving nature, through pixels

An Interview with Myself

What do you do for a living?

I'm a Software Engineer at Canva, specialising in Web Frontend for more than 10 years.

How did your photography journey begin?

It all started in 2017 when I moved to the beautiful city of Sydney. The stunning scenery inspired me to pick up a camera and start capturing the beauty around me. I started taking photos using my Canon EOS 70D. Here's my photography from the early days.

When did you first discover your passion for aerial photography?

In 2018, I came across a camera drone(Mavic Pro) in a shopping mall and bought it on impulse. I was instantly hooked, and my passion for aerial photography took off from there. I was awestruck by the possibilities of being able to view my travels from a unique perspective, it just added so many dimensions to my experiences. Capturing with it was just the next logical step.

What is your favorite destination you've visited so far?

New Zealand, absolutely love how picturesque South Island gets. And yes, I am a mountain person even though I live in the country popular for the beaches.

Destination on your bucket list?

Iceland & Norway

What do you shoot with?

I use different cameras depending on the situation ranging from DJI Mavic 3, DJI Avata, Sony A7III & iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Lens: Sony 100-400mm GM, Sony 28mm f2.0

Why pixelcop?

I wanted to express my passion for capturing pixels, so I explored names like pixelcapturer, pixelhunter, and pixelfreeze. Then, I sought metaphors for things that are famous for capturing, such as a cop. That's when I decided on pixelcop, which was conveniently available across all social media platforms.

Where are you from?

From the city popular for Biryani ;)

Do you still do portrait photography?

Yes, I do on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me if you wish to collaborate for a project.

Do you do wedding photography?

Also on a case by case basis. Here's my work, please reach out to me if you're interested.
